On the 10th minute, Denni had another chance on goal. The Sliema forward received the ball from Wisdom Salomon and fired high from an ideal po- sition. The Wanderers had another attempt on goal on the half hour mark. From a free kick, Racardo Calixto Correa Duarte forced a good save from Borg. On the 65th minute, Denni lost another great chance for his side. The Brazilian went through on the left side but fin- ished off target. Denni was in action once more on the 80th minute. Jean Paul Farrugia delivered the ball to- wards Denni who tried to place the ball past Borg; however, his effort ended up high. The Wanderers's efforts paid off on the 89th minute. In his attempts to clear the ball, Borg punched it towards Gabriel Aq- uilina who finished inside the net.
