Featuring 12 concerts, revolving around the Austrian city of Vienna. The Festival will feature Viennese composers from different eras, as well as Viennese musicians in a programme that travels back in time to reach its climax with Beethoven's Ninth 'Choral' Symphony. MAY 5 Edward Zinkowsky & Charlene Farrugia Piano & Violin Recital Classical music concert held at the National Museum of Archaeology, Republic Street, Valletta at 20:00. Featuring Edward Zinkowsky (piano) and Charlene Farrugia (violin). Programme includes: Mozart's Sonata for violin and piano in G Major, KV 301; Debussy's sonata for violin and piano in g minor, l 140 and Franck's sonata for violin and piano. MAY 5, 6 Brikkuni – Rub Al Khali Launch concert The pop-folk band Brikkuni will be officially launching their third album Rub Al Khali at the MCH Community Theatre, Attard. Doors open at 20:00, band starts at 21:00. The band will be selling the album in CD form on the night, and will be taking pre- orders for the LP version. MAY 6 Schwingungen Piano Trio Vienna Classical music concert held at the National Museum of Archaeology, Valletta at 20:00. Featuring the Schwingungen Trio Vienna: violinist Sanghee Cheong, pianist Charlene Farrugia and cellist Stefan Kropfitsch. Programme includes: Glinka's Trio pathetique in d minor; Beethoven's piano trio op.70 ghost and Arensky's piano trio no.1 in d minor op.32. More information: https://goo.gl/ OM76vI. MAY 12 Be-Wild Events: Magic Island + Yews Night of indie electro-pop music by German band Magic Island – launching their debut EP 'Like TODAY WHAT'S ON In Guardia Parade Historical re-enactment at Fort St Elmo Place, Valletta at 11:00. The re-enactment portrays the inspection of the fort and its garrison by the Grand Bailiff of the Order of the Knights of St. John in charge of military affairs. During the re-enactment, of the fort's garrison - some 50 re-enactors in all, kitted-out in their uniforms perform their military drill to demonstrate to the Grand Bailiff its state of readiness. Payment at the door. Valletta Green Festival Annual festival celebrating horticultural awareness at St George's Square, Valletta. Featuring an 'infjorata' – a floral carpet composed of some 80,000 seasonal flowering plants. Throughout the Valletta Green Festival, the programme of events will also explore the theme of environmental sustainability from multiple angles, with educational workshops, information sessions, and music and entertainment events taking place around St George's Square and other venues within the capital. TECHNICAL ATTACHE` & RESEARCH ANALYST Applications are invited for the positions of Technical Attachès and Research Analysts in a number of policy areas at the Permanent Representation of Malta to the European Union in Brussels.
