'Rumble' the American Bully Dog, known to many for his stocky build and gentle char- acter, has sadly passed away suffering from cancer on 22 June 2017. He was the first of his breed to be imported from the United States of America to Europe. For many years, Rumble was the poster child of the American Bully Breed as it grew in popularity in Europe and inspired an in- ternational movement with thousands of followers all over the World. Rumble was born on 10 February 2005 in Long Is- land, New York, and was bred by Michael Gallo and Chris Sellare from Devil's Den Kennels. Rumble was loved and cared for by his owners, Andrea, Luca & Gianni Selvaggi. Thousands of sympathy messages have poured in on social media at the news of this tragic loss. Rumble will always be remembered by many European dog breeders and fanciers for being the dog from 'Where it all began'. About American Bully breed The establishment of today's American Bully and the breed's early fundamental development began in the mid 1990s in the United States of America via the efforts of several dedicated breeders and their vision and goals of creating the ultimate family companion. The breed was introduced in Europe in the early 2000's by Andrea Sel- vaggi from Malta. In 2004 the American Bully Kennel Club was founded and in 2008 the Euro- pean Bully Kennel Club was es- tablished. Today the breed has become very popular all over the World. The American Bully breed evolved only through careful and selective breeding of vari- ous bull breeds in a programme designed to place an emphasis on maintaining a loyal, devot- ed and steadfast temperament while enhancing desired physical characteristics. As a breed, the American Bully is celebrated for its exceptional loyalty and devo- tion to its family members. The ideal temperament of an Ameri- can Bully is very stable, dedi- cated, confident and is that of an exceptional family companion. The ideal American Bully thrives on pleasing its owners, is highly intelligent, very trainable and ca- pable of performing many tasks and possess diverse abilities. The modern American Bully can be seen today excelling in many areas in society, such as therapy dogs and working dogs. Physi- cally, the perfect American Bully is athletic, yet powerfully built. The American Bully has a solid, well defined muscular frame that gives the impression of massive strength as well as athletic abil- ity. Males are characteristically stockier and heavier boned than females. Their lifespan is be- tween 10 and 14 years. More information is available on the European Bully Kennel Club's Website. www.ebkc.org PKFI has invited a number of its offices to a grand meeting in Duisburg, Germany, to discuss strategy with their Chinese coun- terparts. The 10 offices are Munich, Cy- prus, Malta, London, Italy, New York, Beijing, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Christian Muller managing partner at PKF Fasselt Schlage, welcomed the participants. PKF Fasselt Schlage is a German firm fully committed to provide servic- es to Chinese companies planning to invest in Germany, and hosted the meeting at its offices. Another active member of the China desk is the PKF O'Connor Davies in New York. Founded in 1891, it has evolved from an ac- counting firm to become a team of high calibre professionals that provides a global, growing cli- ent base with comprehensive ac- counting, auditing, tax and spe- cialised management advisory services at the highest level. Other PKF participants in- cluded three firms in UK, that is Francis Clark, Cooper Parry and Littlejohn, apart from Pakistan, Munich, Cyprus, Malta and Italy. Such firms already have deep roots in the China mainland and are ready to capture the flow of business on the proverbial Silk Road. Malta started early to have trade relations with China. It was in the early seventies when China loaned PKF Malta funds to build a num- ber of medium sized industries and had engineered the building of the largest dry dock in Europe at a time when unemployment was relatively high following the oil price shocks when Opec unilater- ally tripled the prices of crude. Since then, Malta diversified its industry and developed apart from manufacturing it developed its own transhipment business, fa- cilitating the movement of thou- sands of containers coming from On Saturday 17 June, Giusep- pi's Bar & Restaurant teamed up with M. Demajo (Wines & Spirits) Ltd. to help cel- ebrate International Moët Party Day 2017, a 24-hour celebration across 80 coun- tries. The exclusive gourmet experience delighted in a four course decadent dinner, prepared by chef Patron Mi- chael Diacono, paired with Moët champagne. This is the second time that Moët & Chandon have organised an event of this scale, gathering thousands of Moët lovers across the globe. They chose three sep- arate venues in Malta to join in the celebrations, one of which was Giuseppi's. "We were very excited to be chosen as one of the three venues for such an exclu- sive, international event" Christopher Diacono, direc- tor Giuseppi's Bar & Bistro, said. "It was the first time we worked on a menu paired purely with Champagnes. Something fresh and dif- ferent which we are always open to." Giuseppi's delicious menu included Foie Gras on Pan Brioche, paired with Moët Rosé Imperial; Sweetbread Raviolo with poached As- paragus and a Champagne sauce, paired with Moët Brut Imperial, followed by a Quail Roulade or Meagre paired with Moët Grand Vintage 2008; and to end, poached pear with a zingy pepper and ginger ice cream, paired with Moët Nectar Imperial.
