maltatoday, WEDNESDAY, 12 JULY 2017 News 17 Thousands of NESCAFÉ jars recycled every month EACH month an average of 8,000kg of glass jars is col- lected through the NES- CAFÉ collect scheme, on- going since 2010. Through the scheme, consumers can exchange their empty NES- CAFÉ jars for gifts, rang- ing from Thermos travel mugs to USB sticks and/ or vouchers. Nestlé Malta works closely with Green- Pak Coop Society to recy- cle the thousands of glass jars that are collected. Consumers are encour- aged to collect the empty NESCAFÉ jars that have the special Maltese seal of guarantee on the label. Through this scheme, con- sumers are actively con- tributing to divert these glass jars away from land- fills. In return, Nestlé con- sumers are rewarded for their recycling efforts. Since 2009, GreenPak has bestowed the "Committed to Recycle" seal on Nestlé Malta for working towards a better environment and for ensuring that packag- ing material placed on the market through Nestle's trading activity are recy- cled properly. Empty NESCAFÉ jars with lids can be redeemed at the new Nestlé Con- sumer Centre which is ad- jacent to the Nestlé Malta offices on Pantar Road, Lija or in Gozo at Maltapost, Visitation Street, Għarb. For more details, one can phone Nestle Freephone on 8007 2209 GreenPak encourages more businesses to use the "Committed to Recycle" seal and communicate to their customers their com- mitment towards the com- munity and their care to- wards the environment. Further information about GreenPak 's "Com- mitted to Recycle" seal can be obtained from Green- Pak on 21661081 or email info@greenpak.com.mt About 8,000kg of glass jars are collected monthly through the NESCAFÉ jars collect scheme Recall of containers of EcoPure Limited dispensed water ECOPURE Limited is advising that, due to a technical failure in its filling plant, the micro- biological integrity of some EcoPure containers might have been compromised.
