Earlier on this year, Jacqueline Abela DeGiovanni CEO and Be- haviour Analyst of Hand in Hand Ltd, Natalie Briffa Farrugia, Care- Malta CEO, Christian Vassallo, Director of Vassallo Group and Janet Silvio, Executive Director of HILA visited ABA schools in Ire- land. The objective of this visit was to look into ways of offering more intensive ABA therapy on our is- land. Following this visit, in ad- dition to other schools visited in the UK and Switzerland, Hand in Hand started offering Intensive ABA were children receive 20 hours of ABA per week. This summer eighteen children are benefiting from this Intensive ABA Therapy. The children are aged between 3 years and 6 years old. The objective of Minister Evarist Bartolo's visit was to look into ways of offering more intensive ABA therapy in Malta Casino notabile hosts unesco exhibition The extraordinary success of Art Camp Malta 2017 held last May, was mainly due to the concept of creat- ing a temporary Artists Village on Gozo, with an artist-in-residence programme offering participating foreign artists and local artists an environment ideal for creative peo- ple and a time and space away from their usual environment and obliga- tions. Art Camp Malta provided a time of reflection, research, presentation and production related to the cho- sen central theme of the project – Building Bridges of Understanding. The residency programme encour- aged individual artists to explore their practices within another com- munity: meeting new people, using new materials and experiencing life in a new location. Besides, through a number of fringe events, like the inter-faith celebration at Ġgantija Temples, the international hands-on culininary night, school and community based outreach events in Malta and Gozo and informal theme related discus- sion sessions, the Art Camp art- ist residency programme based on Gozo emphasised the importance of meaningful and multi-layered cul- tural exchange and immersion into another culture. Organised by the UNESCO Mal- tese National Commission and UNESCO Schools (Malta), this cul- tural programme brought together 23 international artists. One of the three paintings of each artist, paint- ed during the ten-day Art Camp, is currently exhibited at the Casino Notabile in Saqqajja Hill, Rabat. Casino Notabile is an architectur- al gem, designed by British architect Webster Paulson and built in 1887. Paulson was the same architect who was commissioned to design and supervise the rebuilding of the Royal Opera House after being gut- ted by a fierce fire in 1867. Following years of neglect, the UNESCO exhibition opens the doors once again of this recently restored building. The Imdina Lo- cal Council have now appointed an administrative curator of the build- ing, transforming it into a hub of culture and arts through an annual programme of exhibitions, book launches, public lectures and other innovative and unique events. Art Camp Malta '17 exhibition is open today between 10am and noon. Free entrance. One of the three paintings of each artist is currently exhibited at the Casino Notabile
