WHAT'S ON TODAY maltatoday, SUNDAY, 15 OCTOBER 2017 Psychoarcheology Pop-up art event organised by Fragmenta and taking place at Ta' Loreto Chapel, Gudja from 14:00 to 18:00, taking the form of a public intervention by UK artist Erik Smith. Drawing on psychogeography and urban archeology, this trans-disci- plinary, "psychoarcheological" project is conducted on a field close to the Chapel, looking out on the airport runway. This site was identified by overlaying a network of "ley lines" onto maps of the island based on the loca- tion of existing archeological sites and prominent geological features. The project seeks to produce an altered awareness of the contemporary landscape and its relationship to the an- cient past. A modest publication of selected map drawings and documented sites will be pre- sented to the public in addition to the intervention.
