maltatoday WEDNESDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2017 Sport 22 MOTORSPORTS Honda the new sponsor of the ASMK Motocross championship ON Sunday 26 November 2017 Assoc- jazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi is to continue the Autocross cars events. This will be the second event of the ASMK-Pasta Poiatti National Champi- onship 2017/2018. On the same day the Motocross National Championship 2nd event now sponsored by Honda starts at 8.00am while the Autocross cars racing follows the Motocross Warm-Up ses- sions. Meanwhile during this day's activity of Sunday 26th November, as every year, the Association will be remembering the deceased ASMK Members while a Holy Mass is celebrated on site in the sports complex of the ASMK. Mass starts at 10: 00am and be celebrated by the Spiritual Director of the Associa- tion. The Association is pleased to announce the new sponsor for the National Moto- cross Championship 2017/2018. Gasan Zammit Ltd through Honda being one of their companies will be sponsoring the ASMK Motocross Championship of this season. So, the new name will be HONDA NATIONAL MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP 2017/2018. In the near future the Association will also be announcing other new aid projects through reached with this company. The Association also would like to apologise for the cancellation of the Trials event which was scheduled to be held on Sunday 19 November 2017. This program was cancelled due to bad weather conditions of the tracks. Next activity is expected to be held on Friday 8th December 2017 being a Public Holi- day. The place for the event will be an- nounced later. In Sicily during this Weekend moto- cross competitors Camilleri brothers Clayton and Kyle both riding on a KTM motorcycles were committed and com- peting in the Sicily Regional Champi- onshiporganized by the Italian Motor- cycle Federation (FMI) in Sicily. This competition was held in Trapani among the elite riders of the Sicilian Region. Clayton Camilleri who competes in the highly competitive Class named 'MX2 Over 21' riding a KTM 450cc bike won fourth place while young Kyle who com- petes in the Under 21 MX2 class won Second Place on his KTM 250cc bike.
