44 Events maltatoday SUNDAY 24 DECEMBER 2017 BERKELEY International France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Malta has launched a moving and very rel- evant promotion for the festive season, recognising that it can be a time when loneliness is felt acutely by those on their own. The promotion just launched, 'Give the Gift of Love this Christmas', includes Malta's very own The Phoenicia, recent- ly restored and refurbished and now one of the Leading Hotels of the World. Berkeley International France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Malta is the first of its kind in the matchmaking industry, putting genuine love, elite intro- ductions, exclusive matchmaking and confidentiality into a single premium package. Founded by managing director, Hilde Watty, the company provides the best top-end heart-hunting services to those looking for their ideal life partner. The festive season pro- motion allows family and friends to purchase a membership as a gift for someone else and to be rewarded with the choice of three wonderful destinations. The individual purchasing a membership for someone else with Berkeley International France, The Netherlands, Luxem- bourg and Malta within the pro- motion 'Give the gift of love this Christmas' will have the choice of one of three romantic destina- tions for two persons: a luxury Spa weekend at The Phoenicia Malta, a luxury weekend at La Foresteria Planeta Estate Hotel, the luxury winery resort in Sicily, or a weekend in the capital of love – Paris – at Hotel Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel. Since its inception, Berkeley In- ternational France, The Nether- lands, Luxemourg and Malta has evolved to include a variety of de- luxe services for its range of elite clientele, each bespoke service bringing time-starved busy mem- bers one step closer to the love they've been looking for all their lives. To join up for the one-year membership guarantees a num- ber of closely-matched introduc- tions with a wide geographical spread for members to tap into. "There's absolutely no need for anyone to be stuck under the mistletoe alone this Christmas. That's why we launched this new initiative as sometimes it takes the intervention of a fam- ily member or a friend to take the first step in helping someone who is alone stop being alone!" Watty said. "Christmas is actually the per- fect time to find true love, its magic infuses everything, spar- kling fairy lights, beautifully decorated trees and irresistible aromas from the kitchen make the festive season a much-loved time of year but if you don't have a special someone to share it all with you might well be feeling out of sorts." Watty said the brand aimed to fix that and spread love this Christmas. "Our promotion allows fam- ily and friends to change some- body's loneliness for the better and to get Berkeley International on their side to help by expertly facilitating smart matches with h i g h-ne t-wor t h-i nd i v idu a l s around the world," she said. "We make romance easy for anyone that can form a lasting relation- ship based on their emotional depth, values, personality, spir- ituality and world view." The Planning Authority in collaboration with the Environment and Resources Authority is publishing new draft regulations with the scope of improving the quality of our environment in rural areas. These proposed regulations provide the legal framework to enable the proactive regeneration of areas which become the victim of illegal dumping or reclamation and have remained in a derelict state for a period of time. Following the preparation of detailed studies to determine the appropriate method for the area's regeneration, the new law will enable the Authorities to carry out habitat restoration projects in these areas. Projects could include the afforestation of such areas. The full proposed regulations may be viewed on the Authorities websites: www.pa.org.mt/consultation or https://era.org.mt/en/Pages/Active-Pub- lic-Consultations.aspx The Planning Authority and the Environment and Resources Authority invite individuals and organizations to send their representations pertaining to these draft regulations.
