17 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | SUNDAY • 10 JUNE 2018 Great turnout for Emma Muscat's live streaming at Spinola Bay HSBC Malta's flagship corporate banking centre ready for business EMMA Muscat's fans packed Spinola Square in St Julian's last Sunday, to watch her on Live streaming of Italian pro- gramme Amici. The event which was organised by Frank Salt Real Estate Ltd with the assistance of Massive Pro- motions, saw a big screen with speakers erected for the occasion and bars set up on sight. Emma has been battling it on the Italian programme for the past six months, going from strength to strength, whilst gaining overwhelming popularity with the general public. Frank Salt Real Estate had been closely monitoring Emma's progress throughout the programme and supported her all the way. "As soon as we found out that Emma went through to the semi- finals we knew that all eyes would be on her, gaining a steady local fan base, so we decided to support her further by bringing the local community together and have a place where everybody can watch the semi-final and cheer her on" said Douglas Salt. The event was very well attended by members of the general public, young and not so young, who grabbed the opportunity to make an evening out of it, meet up with friends, while also watching Emma perform on Amici. Emma's family was also present and received a warm welcome by members of the crowd. Unfortunately, Emma did not make it to the final but we are all very proud of her and proud of what she's achieved so far. "Emma has a bright future ahead and prospects are looking good! We wish her all the best of luck in her career and beyond," Salt commented. HSBC Malta has completed an investment to transform its flagship corporate banking cen- tre in Qormi. THIS year marks the 50th anniversary of Mdina Glass, Mal- ta's pre-eminent glassmaker, and this milestone also marks the origins of decorative glassware production on the Maltese islands. The colourful history of Mdina Glass is told in great depth in a new book, "LEGACY: 50 Years of Mdina Glass", due to be released on 18 June. The narrative explores the story of this well-known Maltese brand through the craftsmen that have worked at the Ta' Qali premises over the years, through the products to have been created and the evolution of the glass making facilities. The 260 pages also include nearly 300 images, from printed mate- rial, glassmaking photos and wonderful glassware. Author Mark Warner explained, "The book has taken three years to put together. I started with some research, inter- views, photo shoots here and in the UK and looking through archival material to start putting some kind of structure to- gether. With that phase completed, I had a good idea of where I would be going with the story and the book's structure. It's been a lot of hard work, but seeing it coming together, I can only feel that it has been worthwhile."
