An origi- nal, multidisciplinary piece of theatre that celebrates the story of women through time by means of sound manipu- lation and electro-acoustic music, performed live by The New Victorians. MARA is an audiovisual journey through time, highlighting the fact that every story is worth tell- ing, and that no voice should be silenced. The exhibition has been organised entirely by the students themselves, and all the artists and their lec- turers will be present at the opening event. Entrance is free and refreshments will be available. MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT JUNE 27 – JULY 1 Isle Of MT V Music Week Malta's Isle of MTV music week is just around the cor- ner, offering good music and fun times. Stretched over a week, Isle of MTV will see musical stars performing in Malta, including Sigala, Pal- oma Faith and Jason Derulo. JULY 1 Joseph Calleja Concert 2018 with Eros Ramazzotti The world 's leading and fin- est lyric tenor, Joseph Calle- ja, will be performing at the Granaries in Floriana on the 21st July. The Grammy-nom- inated recording artist for Decca Classics, has released five solo albums for the label and is famed for a golden- age voice that inspires com- parisons to legendary singers from earlier eras including Jussi Björling, Beniamino Gigli and Enrico Caruso. Jo- seph Calleja will be joined by Italian star Eros Ramazotti and Malta's Philarmonic Or- chestra. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE JUNE 29 Eyes to Argus + Goldstein Summer Daze Malta Night of progressive and doom metal music at Ru- mours, Pieta. Performing bands include Eyes to Argus and Goldstein. Doors open at 21:00. Entrance is at €5. AUGUST 14-15 Summer Daze Malta Summer Daze Malta will feature three main events. Tuesday 14 will see two events. A free party at Ta'Qali featuring Martin Garrix, Ri- ta Ora, Danny Howard, and more, and an after party at Numero Uno. The festival will close with a sunset pool party at Café Del Mar on Wednesday 15, with Roger Sanchez, Monki and Kristen Knight. Book your tickets on summerdazemalta.com THEATRE JUNE 15-24 Game This World Cup, Teatru Malta has thought of an in- novative way of plunging it- self into the football frenzy as it presents to the pub- lic an innovative hybrid of two popular culture forms- Football and Theatre. GAME is a raw narrative that tells the story of a beloved lo- cal football club and the family that runs it. The six- night performance will be held on the 15, 17, 18, 21, 22 and 23 of June. BOOKS JUNE 22 Gozo Summer Book Festival The National Book Coun- cil is setting up the Summer Book Festival in Gozo for the second year running. This year the festival will be held at Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo in Victoria on 22 and 23 June 2018. The festi- val will be open from 10:00am till 1:00pm and from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm on both days. En- trance is free. RE-ENACTMENT UNTIL JUNE 24 In Guardia Military Parade The In Guardia parade will be held at Fort St Angelo today, 17 June and 24 June. Another re-enactment will be held at this fort on Sunday 21 Octo- ber. The parade will take place at the Parade Ground in the centre of Fort St Angelo. The parade takes around 50 min- utes and commences at 11am. Tickets, both for the fort and the parade, are available from all Heritage Malta museums and sites for €15 adults, €12 seniors and students, and €7 children. Fort St Angelo opens from 9am till 6pm, last admis- sion at 5.30pm. FESTIVALS JUNE 29 Vittoriosa Wine Festival The Vittoriosa wine festival will take place at the magnifi- cent Courve Porte, surround- ed by some of Birgu's oldest fortifications and picturesque views. The gate also serves as an entrance to the Vittoriosa Ditch. Event starts at 7.30pm serving a variety of wine all night. Live performers will en- tertain the crowd in different spots of the fortification, play- ing some very good music. En- trance is free, with donations for ALS Malta to be collected at the entrances.
