17 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | WEDNESDAY • 27 JUNE 2018 Aperol Spritz Amphibious lands at Ghadira Bay AN unfamiliar and unexpected sight greeted sun worshippers when the Aperol Spritz Am- phibious landed at Għadira Bay. Having sailed into the bay and driven on to the beach, the orange coloured Amphibi- ous let down its windows and doors to reveal itself as an Ap- erol Spritz bar and DJ stand. To the delight of the unsus- pecting beachgoers, Vibe FM's Nate, Frank & Rossi were also on hand to entertain the crowd with music and games. Claudia Attard, Aperol Brand Manager at Farsons Beverage Imports Company Limited, said, "Aperol Spritz is less a cocktail and more an aperitivo with a spirit that spontane- ously gathers people together and sparks nothing but good vibes, whatever the occasion. Our Amphibious vehicle is a symbol of this attitude, bring- ing people together and cre- ating happiness. Obviously such an event requires a lot of planning, also to ensure it is carried out responsibly and with no impact on the bay or beach. In this regard I would like to thank the MTA, ERA, Transport Malta, the Police, Mellieha Local Council and the NGO Zibel for their sup- port. I would also like to thank Munchies in Mellieħa for their help in this event." The original "Spritz" recipe – also commonly known as the "Spritz Veneziano" – fea- tures Aperol as its key ingre- dient and was added to the International Bartenders As- sociation's Official Drink list in 2011. Its recipe is as easy as 3-2-1 – consisting of 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol, and 1 splash club soda in a balloon glass over ice – topped off with a slice of orange. It's the perfect low-proof cocktail that can be enjoyed during brunch, as a lighter option for an after- work get-together, or as a true Italian aperitif before dinner. Kristal water supporting water outreach campaign organised by the Health Promotion Department AS part of its commitment to support campaigns for healthier living by promoting a balanced diet and physical activity, GSD Marketing Ltd through Kristal water, are col- laborating with the Health Pro- motion Department on a water outreach campaign to encour- age people to drink more water by informing them about the benefits and the body's need to be constantly hydrated. Health professionals recom- mend that one must drink eight cups or two litres of water a day. Hydration is essential to sustain a healthy metabolism and, in order to function prop- erly, all the cells and organs of the body need water. It is also used to lubricate the joints, protect the spinal cord and other sensitive tissues, regulate body temperature and assist the passage of food through the intestines. "As a company, we are com- mitted to support through awareness campaigns that provide simple, actionable information to the commu- nity to make healthy choices," said George Douglas Saliba, Public Affairs and Commu- nication Manager at GSD Marketing Ltd. The campaign, kicked off yes- terday at the Birkirkara Health Centre, followed by Paola Health Centre on 6 July , Mosta Health Centre on 16 July , Ma- ter Dei on 20 July, St George's Square in Valletta on 31 July and ending on 10 August at the Gozo General Hospital. This is to focus on the impor- tance of incorporating water as an essential element in our diet and keeping hydrated all year round, particularly in the hot and humid months when the consequences of being dehy- drated are even higher. Tips to help you drink more water: • Start your day by drinking one or two glasses of water. • Remind yourself to drink water regularly throughout the day by placing a reminder where you can see it. • Drink water with every meal. • Carry a bottle of water wher- ever you go. • Increase your water intake if you are exercising or in hot weather. • If you suffer from certain chronic diseases, consult your doctor about your water in- take.
