16 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 25 NOVEMBER 2018 TRAVEL Your dream cruise holiday aboard the MSC Seaview Adriana Farrugia MSC are renowned for their lavish cruise ships, and this was no exception. At 1060 feet long with a GRT of 154,000 tons, the ship fea- tures a maximum capacity of 5,429 guests. Sailing since June 2018, the MSC Seaview offers everything you can ever imag- ine: 20 bars and lounges, seven unique production shows, two zip lines, an arcade with bowl- ing and a 4D cinema, a water park with five water slides and a kids' area. As soon as you board the ship, you'd immediately realise it is extremely modern with an el- egant and sophisticated vibe, with large amounts of chrome and crystals decorating the ship, including a Swarovski staircase. The use of glass, silver and mirrors gives it a very spacious feel. The ship makes sure you feel connected with the sea, whether you're relaxing on your balcony, having a morning walk on the Bridge of Sighs or enjoying your lunch. MSC Seaview offers various ways to pass the time on board. Guests can relax during the day by enjoying a treatment at the MSC Aurea Spa and put on their dancing shoes in the evening. There is live music and en- tertainment throughout the day, with a variety of bars on each deck. The main Atrium is a stunning showcase on board no matter where you stand. Whether you are on deck 5/6/7 you can see the events that take place. There is a 30 metre bar on the lower floor, a constant hive of activity. The atmosphere is electric with people singing and dancing all night long. The bars and lounges all of- fer something different. The Champagne bar serves a vari- ety of bubbles, the Platinum bar in the casino for the gin lovers, a sports bar with sports memorabilia on the walls streaming live sports on indi- vidual TV screens in private booths. Large football shaped beanbags also create a relaxed atmosphere. The food is to die for. With nine delightful eateries, includ- ing five speciality restaurants, there's simply something for everyone. Dining on board is as varied as it is delicious… from buffets to even fine dining, you're simply spoilt for choice. At the buffets, there's lots of choice with pasta fish, roast meat, chicken, salads, cold meats, pizza, fries, burgers, hotdogs and plenty of deserts. There's no need to worry about the food sitting there getting cold as everything was piping hot. Two Asian-inspired restau- rants helmed by award-win- ning chef Roy Yamaguchi are available as well. Oh and did we mention there is even a dedicated 'kids only' buffet? The children will love it! The ship has the largest num- ber of balcony cabins at sea with 73% of the total cabins. The stylishness of everywhere else on the ship is cohesive with the design of the cabins. Com- fortable and spacious, the needs of the guest are at the forefront. The crew and staff exempli- fied good customer service. They did their best to heighten the mood and atmosphere on the cruise ship, making our experience even pleasurable. Embarkation and especially the disembarkation was a breeze. The ship is currently sailing the Mediterranean – Barce- lona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina and Valletta – before crossing the Atlantic to spend the winter in Brazil, sailing from the city of Santos, near São Paulo.
