At Casa Antonia, we strongly believe in providing residents with stimulating activities and a well thought activity program designed to focus on the health of residents' body, mind and spirit. Activities here are not just about bingo or watching television, but they also include social activities, stimulating and creative craft sessions as well as physical activities to provide entertainment and promote manual dexterity whilst giving our residents that sense of accomplishment and purpose that can be very beneficial to their state of mind. These activities not only contribute to a healthy lifestyle, but most importantly lead to enriching friendships and true happiness. NURSING & RESIDENTIAL HOME ACTIVITIES FOR A FUN, FRIENDLY AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE ACTIVITIES FOR A FUN, FRIENDLY A group of employees of MAPFRE Middlesea and MAPFRE MSV Life dedicated some of their time to visit the elderly at the Government's Home for the elderly in Floriana. This event was organised by the CSR Volunteer- ing team of MAPFRE Malta which forms part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. During the year, the company or- ganises a number of activities in which employees can help out within the community, through col- laboration with various entities and NGOs. During the visit at the residence, employees per- formed a number of classic songs, encouraging residents to sing and dance along. Employees also served food and spent time having conversation with the elderly. "These songs brought back so many wonderful memories of the past. We truly enjoyed this visit today, it made us feel truly valued, " one of the residents said, following the activity. "Seeing the residents smile and sing along brought a lot of satisfaction. It is great that MAP- FRE encourages such initiatives that give some- thing back to the community," Keith Mallia Milanes, MAPFRE Middlesea Assistant General Manager said. This CSR programme is in line with the work of Fundacion MAPFRE, a non-profit entity of MAP- FRE which contributes to improving people's quality of life across the world, through a number of programs and activities.
