23.05.19 5 NEWS Bye-Law of 2018 about Loitering in Ħamrun (Ħamrun Local Council) The Ħamrun Local Council notifies residents that the publication as to Article 35 of the Local Councils Act (Cap.363), Draft Bye-Law about loitering in Ħamrun is available for the attention of the public at the office of the Ħamrun Local Council between 8.00am and 11.30am from Monday to Saturday. Now, one of the organisation's local arms – the Rotary Club La Vallette Malta in collabo- ration with Integritas Group – has launched a competition to help tackle one of society's biggest problems today: plas- tic waste. To this end, the Club will fund two €5,000 projects that fight plastic and applica- tions are now open. "Globally, Rotary is often at the forefront of helping the world take on the most press- ing issues of the day," says Ro- tary Club La Vallette Malta spokesperson Frédéric Villa. "Today, one such issue is plas- tic waste and we have come together as members in the hope of sparking innovation among local society on ways that we can effectively reduce and fight plastic on our island in the months and years to come."
