THIS Sunday, Heritage Malta is
organising an Open Day at the
National Museum of Natural
History in Mdina where the pub-
lic is invited to visit the museum
and enjoy the activities taking
place on the day.
At 10am, Heritage Malta Senior
Curator John J Borg will deliver
an hour-long public lecture, 'The
History of the Natural History
Museum'. The lecture will be fol-
lowed by a tour of the Insect and
Plant Collections. This tour will
be reserved for the first 20 per-
sons who will collect their tickets
from the museum's reception.
At noon and at 3pm, the public
can participate in the thematic
educational and crafts activ-
ity 'ARTi u Baħar'. This activity
will complement the exhibition
about marine life in the muse-
um's Activity Hall.
The Open Day will also include
a behind-the-scenes tour of the
biological collections at 2pm.
This tour will also be reserved
for the first 20 persons who will
collect their tickets from the mu-
seum's reception.
Admission is free of charge.
The museum will be open from
9am to 5pm, with the last visitors
admitted at 4.30pm. Admission
is free of charge.
