08.08.19 7 NEWS DURING an Extraordinary General Meeting held yesterday morning, BMIT Technologies plc shareholders approved a proposal which will see the technology company acquire a property in Qormi currently housing one of its data centres. e resolution was unanimously approved by shareholders and enables BMIT Technologies to sustain its ambitious growth plans. BMIT Technologies plc Chief Executive Officer Ing. Christian Sammut, delivered a presentation, in which details and rationale for such acquisi- tion were given. In comments following the approval of this res- olution, Chairman of the Board, Nikhil Patil said that "today's approval by shareholders further strengthens our capability to continue growing our business by having the required capacity to continue serving our customers in their technol- ogy needs". e Board thanked all shareholders for their trust in the company. The first is an International Corporate Finance PKF meet- ing in September to be held in Rome Italy. The event will be a "Global Gathering Meeting", during which PKF International will be celebrating its 50th anni- versary. The Rome gathering will be exploring the social, politi- cal, economic and business trends of the future, as well as delving into the way PKF and its members become mar- ket leaders with the right re- sources and support network to provide relevant service of- ferings to the market. The event will feature also an interactive LinkedIn work- shop. Another event will be the International PKF Tax & As- surance Meeting in Dubai, UAE which will take place in November. The theme of the meeting is "Elevating the Cli- ent Experience'' and will fo- cus on how PKF responds to its clients' changing expecta- tions, as well as how the firm can use the latest technolo- gies for a smarter working re- lationship. In addition the Dubai meet- ing will focus on how PKF can provide integrated and inno- vative solutions to meet its clients' challenges. PKF Malta executives will be attending these events to widen their networking op- portunities and collaborate with their colleagues in the respective areas. PKF Malta at various international events RSM Malta considers the time is ripe to develop a framework that will compile, on an annual basis, trends, key ratios, statistics and oth- er information useful to the different stakeholders in the remote gaming industry in- cluding operators, regulators, policy makers and strategists. To this end, RSM Malta is launching a survey amongst remote gaming operators to collect information on the business performance in the market; the economic, em- ployment and regulatory is- sues being faced; the attrac- tiveness and deficiencies of the local jurisdiction; and how present and future chal- lenges can be overcome. e Malta iGaming Survey, which is supported by Gam- ing Malta, is being launched in July 2019 with results to be published in September. Once published, respondents can benchmark their respons- es to the market, through the use of the interactive survey website. "e iGaming sector is a strong contributor to Malta's economic performance with the direct contribution to the Maltese economy valued at over €1billion," Vladimiro Co- modini, Partner at RSM Mal- ta said. RSM Malta launches the Malta iGaming Survey Survey aims to gather information on the overall business performance and the challenges and opportunities faced by iGaming operators.
