Host and executive producer, Josh Gates, scours the globe in search of the latest scientific evidence of the af terlife. Josh treks to sites in India and Turkey, where my th and science collide. He sails down the Amazon River to a compound where shamans take him to the brink of the af terlife. In the first episode, Josh Gates enters an ancient Roman "Gate to Hell" that still claims victims. In New York, a medical doctor shows how consciousness sur vives death and in California, a medium shocks Josh with a message from beyond. MONDAY Veep S7 Ep.2: "Discovery Weekend" [Drama Series] 9pm on Melita More (Channel 315) Selina and Tom compete to gain the support of a very important campaign donor. Amy begins suffering from morning sickness. Jonah's attempt to squash a potential scandal spirals out of control. TUESDAY This is Us – Season 4 [Drama Series] 8pm on FOX Life (Channel 304) Everyone has a family. And every family has a story. "This Is Us" chronicles the Pearson family across the decades: from Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) as young parents in the 1980s to their 37-year- old kids, Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) searching for love and fulfilment in the present day. This grounded, life-affirming comedy-drama reveals how the tiniest events in our lives impact who we become, and how the connections we share with each other can transcend time, distance and even death. While Season 3 saw all three siblings go on distinctly separate journeys, with Randall pursuing a political career, Kevin exploring their lineage, and Kate trying to take their lineage forward, Season 4 will see them living with the result of those pursuits. WEDNESDAY Bugsy (1991) [Film] 8.40pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312) New York mobster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel (Warren Beatty) leaves New York City to dip into the glamour of Hollywood, Calif., and to build up syndicate gambling rackets. Bowled over by actress Virginia Hill (Annette Bening), the dapper Siegel courts her, despite having a wife and children. Obsessed with creating a gambling haven, Siegel takes racketeering to the Nevada desert and helps develop Las Vegas, only to find himself in deep water over his reckless construction of the Flamingo Hotel. THURSDAY Good Trouble – Season 2 [Drama Series] 8pm on FOX Life (Channel 304) "Good Trouble," is the critically acclaimed spin-off of the ground- breaking series "The Fosters." Now in its second season, the series will continue to explore the trials and tribulations of the tenants of Downtown LA's hippest residence, The Coterie. This season, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez), Callie (Maia Mitchell) and the rest of The Coterie crew will continue to navigate their early twenties as they deal with break-ups, demand equality, find happiness and discover what it means to fight for what you believe in. FRIDAY Farmhouse Rules [Culinary Show] 9.55pm on Food Network (Channel 353) Nancy Fuller, a mother who runs a multimillion-dollar food distributor with her husband, lives in an 18th-century farmhouse in New York's picturesque Hudson Valley. Fuller's farming lifestyle takes centre stage in this series that sees her gathering the best ingredients the land and her farming community have to offer to help her prepare classic, fresh meals for friends and family. The dishes Fuller prepares include lamb stew, roasted chicken, chilli, bread pudding, and even mulled wine made from wine that Fuller picks up at a local vineyard. SATURDAY Serendipity (2001) [Film] 5.30pm AMC Channel (Channel 312) On a magical night when they are in in their 20s, Jonathan ( John Cusack ) meet s Sara (Kate Beckinsale). He finds it love at first sight, but Sara believes in destiny. Af ter 10 years the t wo – with 3,000 miles bet ween them – must decide if fate want s them to be together again. When love feels like magic, it is called destiny; when destiny turns to humour, it is serendipit y. Based on the 2013 by Jonathan Ames, it stars Joaquin Phoenix, Ekaterina Samsonov, Alex Manet te and Judith Rober ts. In the film, Joe a young traumatised mercenar y, is hired by a businessman to find, locate and rescue his daughter who has been kidnapped by a human traf ficking net work, which Joe is hired to destroy by any violent means. Daybreak Netflix Daybreak follows the stor y of 17-year-old Canadian high school outcast Josh Wheeler searching for his missing British ex-girlfriend Sam Dean in post- apocalyptic Glendale, California. Joined by a ragtag group of misfits including a pyromaniac 10-year- old Angelica and Josh's former high school bully Wesley, now turned pacifist samurai, Josh tries to stay alive amongst the horde of Mad Max-st yle gangs, zombie-like creatures called Ghoulies, and ever y thing else this brave new world throws at him.
