defiant Konrad Mizzi from
parliamentary group

THE Labour Party executive voted
to remove Konrad Mizzi from the
parliamentary group following the
latest scandal involving a Monte-
negro wind farm purchased by En-
emalta.
The meeting was called yester-
day by PL leader Robert Abela
after Mizzi refused an earlier re-
quest by the Prime Minister to
resign from the parliamentary
group.
Speaking just after the execu-
tive meeting, Abela said the deci-
sion was setting the
highest standards.

A magistrate is looking into claims that
Yorgen Fenech paid Opposition lead-
er Adrian Delia to block David Casa's
election bid, MaltaToday has learnt.
The inquiry was initiated after the
police referred the matter to the
duty magistrate on 18 June, a day
after Daphne Caruana Galizia mur-
der middleman Melvin
Theuma testified in
the public inquiry.
