On Wednesday, Malta lifted
restrictions on travel imposed
during the coronavirus pandemic,
and Malta International Airport, as
well as seaports, reopened their
doors to passengers.
New measures were introduced
at MIA to mitigate the spread
of COVD-19, including social
distancing regulations, sanitizers
at all stations, and more CCTV
cameras.
The first plane to land in Malta
was an Air Malta flight from
Rome. Passengers on that flight
were welcomed on the airport by
Tourism Minister Julia Farrugia
Portelli and Economy Minister
Silvio Schembri.
