This, together with the initi- atives offered by government, will result in huge savings, making Frank Salt Real Estate's First Time Buyer package an unbeatable one. Frank Salt Real Estate has tied up with partners such as APS Bank who will contribute up to €250 towards notarial fees issued by the notary of the cli- ent's choice; with Gasan Mamo Insurance to reduce the cost of first year property insurance by 50%; Vella Falzon Home to give up to €5,000 in discounts based on a minimum spent in their stores on tiles, bathrooms, fur- niture and hardware; ITC to provide 35% discount on white goods and 30% discount on lighting; B4 will offer 30% dis- count on bedrooms and kitch- ens and 20% on fabrics, carpets and blinds; solar PV panels, Air conditioners and heat pumps will be offered at 10% discount from BT Commercials; 35% re- duction on all purchases from Dino Fino Home and last but not least, a 15% discount on all curtain fabrics, loose furniture and home décor from OneT- woOne Interiors. Thanks to the Maltese Gov- ernment's incentive, first time buyers are exempt from pay- ing 5% stamp duty on the first €175,000, resulting in a great saving of €8,750. Should a buy- er opt for a property of a higher value than €175,000, for con- tracts signed by March 2021, stamp duty has been reduced to 1.5% on the next €225,000, thus potentially saving a fur- ther €7,875. Under these cur- rent schemes, one can save €16,625 on a purchase of a property worth €400,000. The dedicated team of sales consultants at Frank Salt Real Estate understand that buy- ing that first property can be a stressful and time consuming experience. Together with these finan- cial incentives, they will pro- vide the necessary guidance and expertise to make the right decision at the right time, by supporting their clients and matching their budgets and requirements against the wide selection of properties availa- ble on the company's database. The Corps also needs to kickstart its fundraising ef- forts, as the pandemic saw their income decreasing by over 50%, despite generous funding from the private and the public sectors. To this end, a fundraising event organised yesterday saw a group of experienced kay- akers kayaking around Malta, Gozo and Filfla. The Corps provided logistical support, as well as rescue and first aid ser- vice throughout the 24-hour challenge. Participating kayakers in- cluded Cami Appelgren, Da- vid Abela, Karl Borg, Luca Arrigo, Chris Mercieca, Alan Borg, Albert Gambina and Dorian Vassallo. An initiative by Icelandic-Dan- ish artist Olafur Eliasson, Earth Speakr – which comprises an app, a website, physical presentations, and more – forms the central component of the cultural pro- gramme on the occasion of the German Presidency of the Coun- cil of the EU 2020. The artwork is funded by the Foreign Federal Office and realised in coopera- tion with the Goethe-Institut. Earth Speakr is free-of-charge and promotes collaboration and reflection between people of all ages across Europe on climate change and the future of the planet. Over the next six months, everyone can download the Earth Speakr app and animate their en- vironment using playful interac- tive technology. Kids and young people below the voting age can choose to take part by giving their voice to anything – a tree, a ba- nana peel, the sky, or the street – and speak up for their local surroundings and for the plan- et. Their creative messages are shared on www.earthspeakr.art and experienced on the app via Augmented Reality (AR). Children's messages will appear on Earth Speakr's virtual map, and Loud Speakrs can be viewed in AR at prominent locations across the EU. To include as many people as possible, Eliasson and his studio developed a predominantly dig- ital artwork with the support of an extensive team including kids, researchers, and other specialists. To find out more and to par- ticipate in creating the artwork, download the Earth Speakr app from Google Play or App Store, visit the website at www.earth- speakr.art, and join the discussion @earthspeakr on social media
