The event, which was ad- dressed by leading profession- als in the field was organised by the Health & Wellness committee within The Malta Chamber, which Atlas Health- care supports and which is chaired by Catherine Calleja, Atlas Healthcare, Managing Director. The webinar demonstrated how to implement an engaging wellness programme at work as it discussed the importance of improving the wellbeing of em- ployees, as part of a successful business strategy. Opening the webinar, Cath- erine Calleja, said that Atlas Healthcare delivered value to its clients and stakeholders which went beyond insurance services. "We truly believe that em- ployee wellness has a direct contribution to the success of any venture and as such should be a priority for any employer or leader" she said. In this context she noted how Atlas Healthcare had recently partnered with ICAS Interna- tional, which provides unlim- ited access to psychologists for employees and their families. "This is testament to Atlas Healthcare's commitment to supporting wellness especial- ly, mental health. This was ev- er so crucial in the months of partial lockdown when work- ers and their families needed even more support than usual" Calleja said. ICAS has been designing, im- plementing and operating Em- ployee Assistance Programmes (EAP), providing counselling, wellbeing and related services for over 30 years. The com- pany is represented world- wide through a network of high-quality provider partner- ships and affiliate providers in 126 countries. The webinar proceeded with a series of addresses from prom- inent thought-leaders in the field. Cathy Perić, Researcher in executive coaching and psy- chotherapy spoke about the impact of wellness on work performance, Kerry Paterson, Client Services Specialist from ICAS International shed light on the importance of setting up and managing Corporate Well- ness programmes, while Ian Pisani, Director at J&C Pisani shared his personal experience on wellness in a family business environment. 'The future of Trade, Transport and Tourism in Malta,' a business webinar CHANGE and adaption domi- nated the scene throughout the past year. Political and pro-envi- ronment movements, along with the extraordinary impact of COVID-19 have ushered us to- wards a different business envi- ronment. EMIRATES has set up a human- itarian airbridge between Dubai and India to transport urgent medical and relief items, to sup- port India in its fight to control the serious COVID-19 situation in the country. Emirates will offer cargo ca- pacity free of charge on an "as available" basis on all of its flights to nine cities in India, to help international NGOs de- liver relief supplies rapidly to where it is needed. In the past weeks, Emirates SkyCargo has already been transporting medicines and medical equipment on sched- uled and charter cargo flights to India. This latest airbridge initiative takes Emirates' sup- port for India and for the NGO community to the next level. The first shipment sent as part of the Emirates India hu- manitarian airbridge is a con- signment of over 12 tons of multi-purpose tents from the World Health Organization (WHO), destined for Delhi, and coordinated by the IHC in Dubai.
