maltatoday | SUNDAY • 17 APRIL 2022 18 COMMERCIAL MCAST launches new prospectus THE Malta College for Arts, Sci- ence, and Technology (MCAST) launched its prospectus for the coming academic year 2022-23. The prospectus was presented during the My Future Seminar, attended by over 80 career guid- ance professionals. The publication, which is also available digitally, includes de- tails on all 190 full-time courses offered by the College, from in- troductory level courses to Mas- ter's level.MCAST announced six new courses that will be of- fered from October, reflecting industry skills needs: Advanced Diploma for Dental Surgery Assistants; Diploma in Cabin Crew Training; Undergraduate Diploma in Auto Electronic and Electrical Technology; Master of Science in Advanced Clini- cal Practice; Master of Science in Professional Health Practice and Master in Social Care Prac- tice. During the launch, college alumni and current students shared the stories of their learning journey, emphasising the relevance of courses to the world of employment. Industry professionals repre- senting various sectors spoke about the need to raise aware- ness of the skills and compe- tencies required and the im- portance of apprenticeships to equip students with the right attitude for the workplace. Principal and CEO Professor Joachim James Calleja said: "The role of career guidance is crucial in helping students understand the connections between educa- tion and work and become more actively engaged in learning. This prospectus is packed with information about cours- es at all levels showing the ca- reer paths. Choosing a learning and career path can be exciting and overwhelming all at once. Ours is an invitation to all stu- dents to discover what options are available, and we commit to supporting them every step of the way." The prospectus can be viewed on mcast.edu.mt. Copies have been distributed to all schools and will be available at Local Councils. EY launch 'Engage: Malta's Technology Leaders Forum' on 1 June TECHNOLOGY consult- ing firm, EY Malta, have an- nounced a new event specially designed for Malta's top CIOs, CTOs and IT management. EY Engage promises a day of tech- nological exploration and net- working and is open to tech- nology leaders all over Malta and beyond. This event seeks to unravel the latest trends while exploring how tech enables re- silience and competitiveness during times of disruption. Engage features a network- ing exhibition, international keynote speakers, panel discus- sions and interactive roundta- ble sessions, as well as show- casing technology that will help the public and private sectors realise their ambitions in fur- ther digitalising their opera- tions. A keynote speech will be delivered by Pascal Bornet, an internationally renowned thought leader and author of the best-selling book 'Intel- ligent Automation.' Another keynote will be delivered by Mohammad J. Sear, an Asso- ciate Partner at EY UAE and a veteran advisor to executive leadership in government and private sector across the globe. The roundtable sessions will focus on technology trends such as AI, Data, RPA and IOT; Cloud; Cybersecurity and Risk; Digital Government; Enterprise Applications; Enterprise Archi- tecture; and Technology Man- agement. The exhibition space will also allow for connections with cur- rent technology leading firms to display their ideas and con- nect with others in the technol- ogy sector. EY Malta's Lead Consulting Partner, Kevin Mallia, said: "As an organisation we have often spoken about how important it is to disrupt or else be disrupt- ed. The last few years have cer- tainly helped many recognise the necessity of accelerating their digital transformations and in this era the only cer- tainty is change, which is not something any organisation in Malta should fear.
