The economy needs a shift in empha- sis towards productivity with upskill- ing being at the heart of this change, according to the labour force analysis. "Upskilling and re-skilling will be- come an even more fundamental prior- ity to recover from the deep economic shock arising from the pandemic es- pecially as certain sectors are likely to be required to invest to adapt to new technologies and survive the digital transition process," the CBM analysts said.
