femicide victim this year

BERNICE Cassar, 40, was driving to
work at the Corradino Industrial es-
tate on Tuesday morning when her es-
tranged husband stopped her and shot
her three times.
The woman, a mother of two young
children, died on the spot and the suspect
fled the scene in his car with shotgun in
hand.

appointed to 2023
• Court issued protection order for the woman in August
