maltatoday | SUNDAY • 2 ARPIL 2023 4 THEATRE Egg-citing family show to make Easter pop at Teatru Manoel The much-loved TOI TOI Annual Easter Concert will take a fun- f illed journey through the history of pop music this Easter Sunday THE TOI TOI Annual East- er Concert returns to Teatru Manoel on 9 April at 5pm, for a festive show the whole family will love. Produced by TOI TOI in collaboration with the Malta School of Music Contemporary Department, this year's Easter Concert will once again feature talented young artists from across Malta and Gozo, who will perform on the main stage of the historic national theatre. Together, they have created an unforgettable show that will take the audience on an excit- ing journey through the history of pop music. Bursting with hits from the 1950s to the present day, the packed programme includes timeless favourites and medleys merging popular music genres, from retro 'rock 'n' roll' all the way to Harry Styles. Grand- parents, mums, dads, carers and children take note: there is something for everyone in this family-friendly Easter spectac- ular – whether young or young- at-heart. "Easter Sunday often unites the whole family, possibly to celebrate religious festivities in the morning before enjoying lunch together. The TOI TOI Annual Easter Concert is the ideal special event to extend the togetherness, joy and Easter en- tertainment into the afternoon and evening," says Kate Fenech Field, TOI TOI Learning Pro- gramme Manager. "Each year, we try to make sure the learn- ing and participation elements run through the heart of the concert, with high standards of musicianship and ensem- ble work. We receive excellent feedback from our young thea- tregoers and know the audience has loved it too, through its ex- uberant applause." The TOI TOI Annual Easter Concert is the latest event from TOI TOI, Teatru Manoel's Learning Programme. With a mission to both educate and entertain, while encouraging inclusivity and innovation, TOI TOI offers performance oppor- tunities as well as educational, technical and artistic benefits for local artists, producing a vibrant array of shows and ex- periences for audiences of all ages. The TOI TOI Annual Easter Concert will take place on 9 April 2023 at 5pm, at Teatru Manoel. Tickets are available via www.teatrumanoel.mt or by email to bookings@teatru- manoel.mt and telephone on (+356) 2124 6389.
