VITTORIOSA Stars FC have been
slapped with a three-point penalty
by the Malta Football Association
after the club breached a suspen-
sion imposed on its former presi-
dent.
The MFA's decision followed a rec-
ommendation made by the associa-
tion's Ethics and Compliance Commit-
tee. The decision is subject to appeal.
In a statement on Tuesday the MFA
said Vittoriosa will start their 2023/24
Amateur League Group B campaign
with the three points less.

MIDI wants to renew a permit for the restoration of
the 17th century Lazzaretto complex in Manoel Is-
land and its re-use as a mixed development, including
a casino.
The Planning Authority had approved the permit
in 2012 but was officially issued in 2016 following the
submission of a construction management plan. The
permit will expire in 2024.
The permit as approved envisaged the develop-
ment of 54 apartments, 6,320sq.m of retail space, a
2,868sq.m casino and a 1,950sq.m hostel.
