maltatoday | SUNDAY • 5 MAY 2024 7 COMMERCIAL Goodbye pimples, hello Hero. MIGHTY PATCH MADE from medical-grade hydrocolloid, MIGHTY PATCH ™ from Hero. Cos- metics extracts the impurities from pimples and protects you from the temptation of picking or popping. MIGHTY PATCH ™ works its magic overnight while you're sleeping. Just stick the patch on your whitehead before hopping into bed and wake up to clearer-looking skin in the morning. That's it! And the best thing? It works in just 6-8 hours! So, when the patch turns white, all the pimple gunk would have been absorbed, and the pimple will look less red and angry. What if you wake up to a brand-new pimple in the morning? Or a pimple pops up while you're out and about? MIGHTY PATCH ™ Invisible+ covers the spot whilst remov- ing the temptation to touch it. If a stubborn pimple pops up in the middle of a school or work- day, stick an Invisible+ patch on your whitehead and you can go about your day as usu- al. It's the thinnest ever invis- ible MIGHTY PATCH ™ that blends perfectly into all skin types and is so comfortable to wear, that you'll forget it's even there! It can even be applied BEFORE makeup! MIGHTY PATCH ™ acts as a bandage to prevent dirt, touch- ing, picking, or popping while allowing the clear pimple patch to absorb all the gunk as you get on with your day. This milestone was marked at an event held at the Michael Debono Limited showroom in Żebbuġ on Friday, 19th April. Attending the event were Prime Minister Dr Robert Abela, Toyota Motor Europe's CEO Yoshihiro Nakata, and Scott Thompson, President and Managing Director of Toyota GB, who joined the Debono fam- ily in honouring their legacy and ushering in the decades to come. The alliance between the group and the Japanese car making company owes its beginning to Michael Debono, who in 1960 im- ported and sold a Toyota Crown, the first ever Toyota vehicle to be sold in Europe, sowing the seeds of success for Debono Group's story in Malta, and for Toyota across the European market. To honour the longstanding re- lationship between Toyota and Debono Group, Toyota Great Britain, President and Managing Director, Scott Thompson, pre- sented Geoffrey Debono with a commemorative plaque in rec- ognition of Debono Group's 60 years of outstanding service to the Toyota franchise. Commem- orative mementos were also pre- sented to the guests of honour by Mrs Therese Debono. With exciting projects beck- oning, Debono Group also an- nounced a new chapter in its journey - the sponsorship of Paralympic athlete Maja Theu- ma who has successfully been confirmed by the International Paralympic Committee for the 50m S6 class event and will be representing Malta in the Par- is Paralympics. Maja joins the Debono Group as its new Brand Ambassador, epitomising its 'Mo- bility for all' Initiative. The event celebrating this an- niversary was a vibrant fusion of Maltese and Japanese cultures, honouring the traditions of Mal- ta and Japan in the set up and in the culinary delicacies from both countries that were served to all those present. Adding significance to the event's backdrop was the iconic first Toyota Crown imported to Malta by Michael Debono, which provided a poignant connection to the past and the legacy that Debono Group aspires to carry forward with unyielding resolve, clear vision and the same deter- mination that has always defined it. Maltese Students demonstrate financial ;iteracy at European Money Quiz AMY Pizzuto, a student at St. Joseph School Sliema, and Ry- an Vella who attends De La Salle College, were among Europe's brightest young financial minds who competed in the European Money Quiz 2024 finals that were hosted by the European Banking Federation (EBF). The two students, whose trip was sponsored by the Malta Bankers' Association (MBA), represented Malta as they joined other nation- al delegations of teenagers aged 13-15, champions from their re- spective countries, who convened to Brussels for a chance to win the prestigious European trophy. Amy and Ryan finished in fourth place, narrowly missing third by just a few points, achieving the highest ranking ever registered by the Maltese competitors over the four years that our students have participated in the European Money Quiz. Amy and Ryan were named Mal- ta's representatives after winning a national quiz that was organised and supported by the MBA as part of European Money Week, in collaboration with the Depart- ment of Accounting and Business Studies within the Directorate for STEM and VET Programmes of the Ministry for Education Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation. This year's European Mon- ey Quiz saw a record-breaking turnout in several countries, with approximately 36,000 teenagers from 2,200 schools participating in national rounds across Europe. The initiative, launched by the EBF in 2017, aims to empower young people with essential finan- cial knowledge and foster a finan- cially responsible generation.
