WORK on the new primary school in Vic- toria, Gozo, has entered its final stages and the school will receieve its first stu- dents when school restarts in September, GozoToday has confirmed. The new 8,000 sq.m school will replace the current school, which dates back 160 years, but will not replace the existing building. Instead, the new school has been built on the educational campus in Victoria, the only of its kind in Malta. This campus will now include a childcare centre, a kinder- garten, a primary school, a middle school, a senior school, as well as the sixth form. Neville Young, chief executive at the Foundation for Tomorrow's Schools, confirmed that work on the new primary school within the Gozo College is in its final phase - with school furniture being currently installed - and that the school will open the doors for its first student in- take this September.
