The festival will stream the 2024 performance festival at Sala San Duminku for all those who didn't get the chance to visit in person, with some special interviews with artists. From rhythms to genes to nature and particles, the virtual festival has several exciting performances. 'Ripped Genes' is a captivating performance for chil- dren aged six to 13, following the story of Eugene, a sci- entist who accidentally deconstructs his own DNA. 'Hunting the Higgs' (for ages 12 and over) invites vis- itors to step into the role of a particle physicist, where they control the world's largest machine, the Large Hadron Collider. 'Boo Recaccia' (for ages 8 and over) is a dynamic dance performance that celebrates the power of human con- nection through rhythm, math, and movement. 'Addressing Water Scarcity in Agriculture' (for ages 16 and over) showcases the PRIMA-funded MED-WET initiative, testing innovative irrigation solutions in Por- tugal, Malta, Morocco, and Egypt. As part of the European Researchers' Night initiative which takes place on the same night in over 400 cit- ies across Europe, the goal is to promote European re- search, STEM careers and international collaborations. SitC presents a fun and interactive programme for families and youths who enjoy science, theatre and dance.
