maltatoday | SUNDAY • 24 NOVEMBER 2024 6 COMMERCIAL Strengthening cybersecurity through collaboration and innovation MITA is presenting the 6th edi- tion of CYBER ROOT, Malta's premier national cybersecurity conference, designed to ignite pivotal discussions, share indus- try best practices, and foster val- uable networking opportunities. CYBER ROOT 2024 will take place on 29th November 2024 at the Grand Hotel Excelsior. This year, the conference will centre on the theme of enhancing the public sector's cybersecurity in- frastructure through essential public-private partnerships. The event aims to underscore the critical importance of invest- ing in robust cybersecurity meas- ures while exploring innovative collaborations between public and private sectors to strengthen the overall cybersecurity land- scape. Attendees will gain insights from an impressive lineup of in- ternational experts and speak- ers with extensive experience in cybersecurity. This includes professionals from influential or- ganizations such as Moody's, the European Commission, and me- dia giants like BBC and WIRED Magazine. Additionally, the con- ference will feature renowned figures with distinguished repu- tations in the field. Complementing the interna- tional expertise, prominent Mal- tese cybersecurity professionals will contribute to the discussions and provide a localized perspec- tive, enriching the discussions and making the experience even more impactful for participants. CYBER ROOT 2024 is tailored not only for IT and cybersecuri- ty specialists but also for profes- sionals in communications, me- dia, and management roles. The conference will address critical topics such as risk management and crisis response, relevant to individuals across various sec- tors. Students are particularly en- couraged to attend.
