maltatoday | SUNDAY • 20 APRIL 2025 2 MUSIC Get ready to party, David Guetta & BBC Radio One Dance are back! RIGHT, listen up party people, get this date circled, underlined and highlighted in neon: Sat- urday 16 August 2025. Why? Because the iconic BBC Radio 1 Dance Weekend is making its highly anticipated return to the island, and it's bringing one of the biggest names in the game with it: David Guetta. That's right, the global DJ me- gastar, hitmaker, and absolute dance legend is heading back to Malta, and he's set to take over UNO Malta for one unforget- table night under the stars. If you've never been to UNO be- fore, it's one of the island's top open-air venues, surrounded by palm trees, filled with thump- ing sound systems, and known for its electric atmosphere. It's basically the perfect spot for a summer rave. Now, let's talk about Guetta. The man needs no introduction, but we'll give him one anyway. With decades of chart-topping hits under his belt (Titanium, Memories, I'm Good, to name just a few), and a career that's seen him headline the world's biggest festivals. Expect big beats, bigger drops, singalong moments, and enough energy to keep you going well into the early hours. But Guetta isn't the only one bringing the noise. Joining him is none other than Becky Hill, one of the UK's most powerful vocalists and an absolute force in the dance music world. Her voice has featured on countless hits (Remember, Crazy What Love Can Do, Gecko (Over- drive)) and her live shows? Nothing short of electric. Ex- pect singalongs, sass, and plenty of hands-in-the-air moments. Also hitting the stage is Char- lie Hedges, one of Radio 1's own and a DJ who knows exactly how to fire up a crowd. With her deep roots in dance and house, she'll be bringing floor-fillers, club classics, and those tunes you didn't know you needed until you're right in the middle of them. And then there's Jeremiah Asi- amah, who blends afro-house, UK funky, and global beats into something completely his own. He's one of the most exciting DJs on the rise, and his sets are all about energy, rhythm, and movement. If you're looking for something fresh and vibrant, he's your guy. Even better? There's more art- ists still to be announced, so the party is only getting bigger from here. Trust us, this is going to be one of those nights people talk about for ages. Now, the important bit, tick- ets. You can grab yours over at Tixify for just €30 + €3 booking fee. That's a proper steal for a night of world-class DJs, top- tier vibes, and memories that'll last way past summer. But don't sleep on it, this will sell out fast- er than you can say "Ibiza who?" So grab your friends, sort your outfits, and get ready to dance the night away. This August, Malta goes off. See you at the front!
