DURING a press conference Esplora announced the Paws and Claws Easter Adventure which will be taking place on April 26th and 27th, 2025. This year's event combines the won- ders of science with the joy of animals—and for the first time, pets are invited to join the fun! The event will feature several exciting highlights, including the Pawesome Senses show for those aged 5 and above, where visitors will learn about how animals ex- perience the world through their extraordinary senses such as sight, smell, and hearing. There will also be the Amazing Wildlife Puppet Show for younger chil- dren (ages 3 to 6), which will ig- nite their imagination and spark their curiosity about wildlife. For aspiring veterinarians, the Little Vet Clinic offers a hands- on experience for children aged 5 and older to diagnose and treat "sick" pet patients. Younger children (ages 3 to 6) will enjoy Wanted Puppy, a heartwarm- ing storytelling session about a puppy in search of a home, which teaches important les- sons about pet care and kind- ness. Pet-themed Sensory Play, designed for toddlers aged 0 to 2, will provide sensory develop- ment activities to engage young minds. Additionally, two excit- ing planetarium films, Kitz the Cat – Supermoon Adventure and Accidental Astronauts, will explore space and space explora- tion in fun and educational ways for children aged 5 and above. This year, Esplora is introduc- ing a unique feature—pets are welcome! For the first time ever, visitors are invited to bring their pets along to join the Easter fes- tivities. Whether it's a dog, cat, or even a rabbit, pets are en- couraged to experience the fun alongside their owners. Esplora's Adoption Corner will also be a highlight, where visitors can meet adorable, adoptable pets in need of loving homes. It's a great opportunity for families to learn more about responsible pet ownership and consider giv- ing a pet a forever home. Esplora's Paws and Claws East- er Adventure ties closely to the centre's broader commitment to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. Through this event, Esplora continues its mission to inspire young minds to explore the wonders of science, technol- ogy, and nature while fostering empathy, curiosity, and hands- on learning about the natural world. The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Animal Rights, Anton Refalo, said that, "Events like this help foster curiosity in the minds of visitors as well as highlight the importance of an- imals, biodiversity and sustaina- bility.
