9 gozotoday | FRIDAY • 23 JANUARY 2026 CULTURE Annual edition of Citru Fest takes place CITRU Fest, the annual cele- bration of citrus culture, will take place on 25 January from 9 a.m. onwards at Nadur's Main Square. The festival will feature live performances by local art- ists and groups, including Jolene Samhan, Kurt Calleja, Color Theory, Wild Rose Line Danc- ers, The Clef House, and Kristy Said. Organizers say the event offers a vibrant, citrus-themed setting with music, dance, and interac- tive experiences suitable for all ages, aiming to bring together the community in a lively, fam- ily-friendly atmosphere. Citru Fest competitions There is a citrus-drawing con- tent open to primary students aged between 4 and 12 years old. Theme The drawing should be in- spired by citrus fruits such as or- anges, lemons, likes, grapefruits, mandarins, or any other citrus varieties. Medium: The artwork must be hand- drawn. Digital artwork is not accepted. Size: The drawing must be on a standard 8.5' x 11 (A4) sheet of paper Submissions: All entries should be submitted before the 24th of January in a designated box in Nadur square. Each must include the students name, age, and grade on the back of the paper. Display: All entries will be exhibited during the event
