100 years of
Turandot –
Public dialogue
at Il-Hagar
THE creatives behind The
Classique Foundation's new
production of Giacomo Pucci-
ni's Turandot,
which will be staged at Tea-
tru Astra on Saturday 30 May
2026, will share insights in-
to this masterpiece during a
public dialogue to be held at
Il-Ħaġar Museum on Saturday
16 May at 11:00, a fortnight
before the opera night.
The speakers on the panel
will be the production's musi-
cal director Joseph Debrincat,
artistic director Salvo Dolce,
choirmaster and répétiteur
Francis Camilleri, and design-
er Matteo Capobianco. The
moderator will be George P.
Cassar.
Admission to this public di-
alogue is free, but seat reser-
vations are recommended. To

This production of Turandot
is being staged to celebrate
the centenary of its world pre-
miere on 25 April 1926 at Te-
atro alla Scala.
