Held on the final day of the sell-out String V SPITTA Malta run, the three- hour session saw the group work together on character building and improvise scenarios in small and larger groups – with Kiell and Ed working directly with the actors throughout. "It was truly exciting to see these genuine comedic talents sharing their expertise with local actors and performers in an informal, fun and creative environment," says Jo Caruana, theatre produc- er and founder of Finesse Events. "The workshop was an integral part of what has been a fantas- tic London-Malta collaboration for Finesse Events with String V SPITTA, and this promises to be the first in many productions of this kind." The workshop formed part of String V SPITTA's first Malta run, which played four packed performances at Theatre Next Door across the weekend of 8 to 10 May. The five-star musical comedy, written and performed by Smith-Bynoe and MacArthur and directed by Chilcott, trans- ferred to TND following sold-out runs at London's Soho Theatre and the Edinburgh Fringe.
