Gozo PN spokesperson calls for improved
weekend Route 300 bus frequency
GOZO shadow minister
Frank Anthony Tabone
has called on the gov-
ernment to increase the
weekend frequency of
the Route 300 bus service
linking Lascaris, near the
Fast Ferry terminal, with
Mater Dei Hospital.
Taking to Facebook,
Tabone said he had
raised the issue direct-
ly with the Minister for
Sustainable Mobility,
arguing that the re-
duced weekend service
is creating difficulties
for Gozitans who re-
ly on the Fast Ferry to
travel to Mater Dei.
He said the current
weekend timetable is
affecting a range of
commuters, including
healthcare workers,
patients attending ap-
pointments, and their
relatives.
Tabone urged the
minister to review the
service and consider
increasing the frequen-
cy of Route 300 on Sat-
urdays and Sundays
so that it matches the
weekday schedule.
"The reduced week-
end service is creating
unnecessary inconven-
ience for Gozitans who
depend on public trans-
port after using the Fast
Ferry," Tabone said,
insisting that a more
frequent service would
improve accessibility to
Malta's main state hos-
pital.
The PN spokesperson
said he would continue
pressing the govern-
ment to address trans-
port issues affecting
Gozo residents.
