As part of the same project, a to- tal of 1,100 square metres of new asphalt was laid. Camilleri stated that the pro- ject is bringing tangible improve- ments to Gozitan localities, add- ing: "With the completion of the 17th residential road, we are continuing to deliver one of the key measures of the 2026 Budget for Gozo. This investment is not limited to resurfacing roads, but focuses on creating modern and sustainable infrastructure begin- ning with the underground util- ity services. Through our collab- oration with the Water Services Corporation, we are ensuring that residents benefit from new water and sewerage systems before the final road works are carried out. We will continue implementing this programme to achieve our target of 100 residential roads within three years." Camilleri said that the Ministry remains committed to continuing this investment in residential in- frastructure, with the aim of en- abling more Gozitan families to benefit from safer, more modern roads built on reliable infrastruc- ture that will serve the communi- ty for many years to come. A total of 1,100 square metres of new asphalt was laid.
