MINISTER for Gozo Clint
Camilleri announced that,
within the first 100 days of the
new Legislature, a measure was
implemented to provide old-
er people in Gozo with more
opportunities to remain active
and make use of the sports fa-
cilities at the Sports and Aquat-
ic Pavilion.
Minister Clint Camilleri stat-
ed: "In our electoral manifesto,
we promised that older peo-
ple in Gozo would have more
opportunities to participate
in physical activity initiatives
and sports programmes spe-
cifically designed for them.
We are therefore continuing
to strengthen initiatives of this
kind at the Sports and Aquatic
Pavilion, to ensure that older
people can also benefit from
this important sports invest-
ment in Gozo. Through these
opportunities, older people in
Gozo can remain active, lead a
healthier lifestyle and continue
to play an active role in our so-
ciety."
He continued by saying that
this is a Government that lis-
tens, understands people's
needs and works to ensure that
everyone has a better quality of
life.
Older people who are inter-
ested can apply using their eID
through servizz.gov, in person
at the servizz.gov Hub in St
Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo,
through the MyGozo App, or
via the website gozo.gov.mt.

Camilleri said that October,
which is dedicated to older
people, will see the Ministry
for Gozo continue to organise
various activities and initiatives
for older people, including in-
tergenerational activities, edu-
cational talks and socialisation
initiatives, which continue to
promote active and healthy age-
ing.
Camilleri said by saying that
these initiatives reflect the Gov-
ernment's ongoing commitment
to active and healthy ageing,
while continuing to recognise the
value of older people as pillars of
our families and society.
