6 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | SUNDAY • 11 OCTOBER 2026 Buddha-Bar Malta: A new chapter in Malta's premium dining scene BUDDHA-BAR Malta is of- ficially opening its doors on October 29th in St. Julian's, bringing one of the world's most recognisable dining and lifestyle concepts to the island. First launched in Paris in 1996, Buddha-Bar became a pi- oneer of the lifestyle hospital- ity concept, bringing together dining, music, atmosphere and design in a way that shaped a distinctive global identity. Since then, the brand has expanded in- ternationally, with destina- tions including Monte-Carlo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bodrum, Marrakech, Prague, Mauritius, Mykonos and more, spanning restaurants, bars, hotels, beach clubs and original music com- pilations. Now, Malta is joining that global story. Known interna- tionally for its distinctive blend of atmosphere, music, dining and design, Buddha-Bar intro- duces a new destination for those looking for more than a standard evening out. Its Malta opening brings the brand's sig- nature energy into one of the island's most active social dis- tricts, offering a setting shaped around food, cocktails, music, interiors and the overall sense of experience. Buddha-Bar has long been as- sociated with a sense of discov- ery. Across its global destina- tions, the brand is recognised for creating spaces where din- ing and nightlife meet, where the experience is shaped as much by sound, light and at- mosphere as it is by what is served at the table. Buddha-Bar Malta will continue with this approach, introducing a venue made for dinners that unfold slowly, cocktails that lead into conversation, and nights that feel considered from beginning to end. Located in St. Julian's, the venue is set to become a new point of reference within Mal- ta's premium hospitality scene. It brings together a refined restaurant experience, an at- mospheric bar setting and the social energy of a night-time destination, creating a place suited to intimate dinners, cel- ebrations, after-work drinks, late evenings and memorable occasions. The night is already waiting. Step into Buddha-Bar Malta for refined dining, cocktails, music and atmosphere in the heart of St. Julian's. Website: www.buddhabar- malta.com. The ses- sion drew strong interest among the UK-based audience, particularly in the opportu- nities Malta offers for invest- ment and wealth planning, as well as APS Bank 's banking and investment solutions. Josef Portelli, Managing Di- rector of ReAPS Asset Man- agement and Head of Invest- ment Management at APS Bank, and Kenneth Genovese, Head of Investment Distribu- tion at APS Bank, presented Malta's proposition for inter- national investment, alongside APS Bank's wealth manage- ment offering. Also representing the Bank were Director Leslie Janet Ste- phenson, Chief Investments Officer Noel McCarthy, Chief Financial Officer Ronald Mizzi, Investment Business Develop- ment Manager Mark Vella and Private Clients Relationship Manager Antonella Mercieca. Among those attending were Malta's High Commissioner to the UK, Professor Stephen Montefort, and Malta Business Network Founder and Chair- man Joseph Zammit Tabona. The event strengthened the Bank's international engage- ment as it continues to grow its business beyond Malta. Commenting on the initia- tive, Genovese said, "The turn- out and interest we saw in Lon- don were very positive. It was a valuable opportunity to speak directly with people interested in Malta, understand what they are looking for and show how APS Bank can support their plans. It also builds on the in- ternational business we already serve and our continued focus on developing these relation- ships."
