Hibernians took the lead as early as the ninth minute. Off a freekick by Clayton Failla, Jean Paul Far- rugia headed the ball past goal- keeper Henry Bonello to make the score 1-0. Hibernians doubled their lead on the 30th minute. Jean Paul Farrugia made a good run on the right directing a cross to Obinna Obiefule who then beat Bonello with his shot. Hibernians were in control of the match till the end of the first half but Sliema had a great chance to score nine minutes before the half ended. Stanley Ohawuchi was unlucky not to score when his shot hit the crossbar. Hibernians continued to domi- nate the match in the second half and made sure they took home the points when they scored one minute from time. A shot by An- drew Cohen hit the woodwork andoff the rebound Edison Luis dos Santos beat goalkeeper Henry Bonello with his shot. Sliema finally found the back of net two minutes into added time. Ryan Camilleri handled the ball inside the area and the referee immediately pointed to the pen- alty spot. Stanley Ohawuchi beat goalkeeper Daniel Balzan from the penalty spot to make the final score 3-1. This victory for Tarxien moves them closer to securing a place in the Premier League next season. Carlo Mamo scored the first goal of the match on the 19th minute. Tarxien had to wait till the 63rd minute before they doubled the score thanks to Lucas Goncalves. Daniel Mariano Bueno practi- cally put the game out of reach for Qormi as he made it 3-0 on the 78th minute. In added time an own goal made sure Tarxien would secure victory over Qormi.
