Event will take place in the KSU Common Room at the Msida campus 20:00 – The Science of Wine Oenologist Roger Aquilina will take attendees through a journey from the earliest days to modern wine production and research. He will talk about the science and art behind fermenting wine. The event will take place in the University Quadrangle. VISUAL ARTS CONTINUES BY APPOINTMENT Retrospective by Norbert Attard Retrospective exhibition by artist Norbert Attard at Gozo Contemporary, 11, Mongur Street, Gharb, Gozo. Art works spanning 40 years will be on display. These include Attard's early paintings, drawings and lino cuts from the formative years, limited edition prints (including the Walled Cities, Mihrab and Kimono series) and abstract paintings from the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and photographic prints and sculptures, from his most recent conceptual phase. UNTIL AUGUST 22 Music, Dance and Landscapes by Jeni Caruana Exhibition of paintings by Jeni Caruana at Palazzo de Piro, Mdina. Featuring paintings done live at various musical events. JULY 26 – AUGUST 22 Paġni - Pass the Parcel Paġni, an exhibition in the main hall at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Valletta, is a result of the project Pass the Parcel, which was organised with WHAT'S ON Vacancy RESEARCH AND TRAINING PROMOTER (ETC Permit No: 124/2014, MPO File No: MPO/253/2005/12) A vacancy for the post of Research and Training Promoter has arisen within NCPE, the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality, as part of the project ESF4.220 "Developing a Culture of Rights through Capacity Building". The selected candidate will be expected to enter into a full-time definite contract (expiring in September 2015), where s/he will be responsible for the project activities including: - Facilitate the project's research, training and promotion; - Liaise with transnational partners and compile and structure information emanating from the research and mapping carried out with transnational partners; - Raise awareness on the training activities emanating from the project. The candidate must be in possession of: an Honours Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Public Policy, Social Policy, Commerce, Law, European Studies, Communications, International Studies, or Social W ork. The individual needs to be a good team player, well versed in equality and non-discrimination issues and research methodologies, computer literate and able to use all MS Office applications. The individual must possess strong communication skills including excellent writing skills in both Maltese and English. Previous experience in training coordination and organization, preparing marketing / publicity campaigns and/or working with transnational partners would also be considered an asset.
