This recital brings together the music of daddy Bach and his sons in a month that is very important for the Bach family – it is Carl Philip Emanuel Bach 's 301st birthday on March 8 and Johann Sebastian Bach 's 330th birthday on March 21. MARCH 6 Massacre House Party – Anniversary Edition Indie rock gig and part y at Django Jazz Bar, Republic Street, Valletta at 21:30. Entrance is at €3. MARCH 12-15 L'Elisir d'Amore Gaetano Donizetti 's comic opera in two acts at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta at 19:30. Featuring the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Denise Mulholland and conducted by Philip Walsh. Soloists include: Adina - Madina Karbeli / Shoushik Barsoumian, Nemorino - Cliff Zammit Stevens / Matteo Mezzaro, Belcore - Philippe-Nicolas Martin / Valdis Jansons, Dulcamara - Emilio Marcucci / Luciano Miotto and Giannetta - Francesca Aquilina / Rosabelle Bianchi. MARCH 13 The Areola Treat live The alternative rock band Areola Treat will be performing at Razzett l-Ahmar, Mosta at 21:30. The 90-minute gig will feature six new songs from the quartet. MARCH 14 Riccardo Fogli and Hit Italy band Veteran Italian singer Riccardo Fogli will be performing with his band at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta at 20:30. Riccardo Fogli 's music has captured the hearts of millions of listeners. His music st yle consists mainly of ballads and pop songs with Italian lyrics. Riccardo won the Festival di Sanremo in 1982 with the song 'Storie di Tutti i Giorni ', the one many Maltese know by heart. Featuring works by Raphael Vella, Elisa Von Brockdorff, Adrian Abela, Ritt y Tacsum, Goghi&Goghi WHAT'S ON TODAY In Guardia Parade Military re-enactment at Fort St Elmo, Valletta at 11:00. During the re-enactment, the soldiers and knights of the fort's garrison - some 50 re-enactors in all - are kitted out in their finest uniforms to perform their military drill in order to demonstrate to the Grand Bailiff their state of readiness in the event of a military threat. Entrance is at €7 (adults) and €3 (children and students). Filigree Marathon Celebration of filigree at The Filigree Centre, Palazzo de la Salle, Republic Street, Valletta at 18:00. During the marathon there will be events such as art installations, poetry reading and filigree workshops. The Filigree Centre is the beginning of an NGO campaign to raise funds for Malta's first Filigree Museum and Community Centre.
