EXHIBITIONS MARCH 30-APRIL 3 Crossfire Artistic installation by Trevor Borg at St James Cavalier, Valletta, inspired by the spring hunting referendum. The territory occupied by Crossfire can be appropriated by anyone, notwithstanding their allegiance, thus, the work is intended to avoid closure and evoke questions rather than providing answers. UNTIL APRIL 3 Ibqghu fl-Imhabba Tieghi Exhibition featuring a representation of the Last Supper and a display of Good Friday statues at the main square opposite Dingli Parish Church. The main highlight of this exhibition will be the painting that is held at Maria Maddelena Chapel of Dingli cliffs and which recently has been restored after a lightning strike caused damage to the chapel and painting in particular. This painting was completed in 2005 by the Gozitan artist Paul Camilleri Cauchi who was also responsible for its restoration. UNTIL APRIL 5 The Overlooked Performance Photography exhibition by Alex Attard at St James Cavalier, Valletta, presenting itself as a showcase of the ephemeral art beneath the face of Renzo Piano's new Parliament for Valletta. The Overlooked Performance exhibition is both an artistic expression and a document to the skin beneath the face of an historic architectural intervention and to the temporality of man at his workplace. The exhibition is curated by Vince Briffa. APRIL 6-8 Urban Wonderland Tales Photography workshop for children by Futura Tittaferrante at St James Cavalier, Valletta from 10:00 to 13:00. Urban Wonderland Tales is a nine-hour photography workshop to be held over 3 days, during the Easter holidays 2015 for children and their parents. PUBLIC LECTURE APRIL 16 Bankrolling the Renaissance Public lecture by Douglas Skreggs on the Medici Family at Le Meridien, St Julian's at 18:30. Skeggs read Fine Art at Magdalene College Cambridge and has been a lecturer on paintings since 1980. In that time he has given over 4,000 lectures to universities, colleges and art societies. He was the director of 'The New Academy of Art Studies' for three years and is presently a regular lecturer at 'The Study Centre', 'Christie's' course 'The History of Art Studies' and other London courses. NIGHT WALK APRIL 3 Good Friday Night Walk 2015 Good Friday night walk from Mellieha to Isla. Starts at 02:00 sharp from Misrah iz-Zjara tal-Papa (outside the Sanctuary of Our Lady) in Mellieħa. Those joining are invited to be in Mellieha latest by 01:30. This is approximately a four-hour walk covering around 30 kilometres. Participation is at €10, with all proceeds going to Puttinu Cares.
