15 WHAT'S ON EXHIBITIONS UNTIL JUNE 26 Her Majesty Visual art exhibition by Pawlu Mizzi at Akkademja Kulturali Pawlina, Valletta. Curated by Simon Sultana Harkins. UNTIL JULY 1 axra A collective exhibition organized by the M.F.A. in Digital Arts students at St James Cavalier, Valletta. Featuring work by George Abdilla, Andrew Aquilina, Therese Debono, Patrick J. Fenech, Matyou Galea, Jennifer Mallia, Sarah Mifsud, Amanda Muscat, Joe Smith and Jean Marc Zerafa. UNTIL JULY 29 KATZE – The keepers of the in- between Site-specific intervention by Adrian Abela at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta. Also featuring Opera performances as sound interventions – on July 4, 17 and 25 from 20:30 to 23:00. Entrance is free. UNTIL AUGUST 15 Obsidio Melitae Exhibition of historical documents pertaining to the Great Siege of Malta at the National Library, Valletta. The main focus of the display will be the original prints by Matteo Perez d'Aleccio depicting the highlights of the siege. Other interesting documents include original letters of congratulation from European sovereigns sent to Grand Master Jean de Valette after the lifting of the siege. On view are also published contemporary accounts of the siege, including the 1567 and 1568 editions of Francesco Balbi da Correggio's day-to-day diary. Modern scholarly studies of the 1565 event will also feature in the display. Opening hours are Monday to Friday between 08:15 and 17:00 and on Saturdays between 08:15 and 13:00; and between June 16 and August 16 from Monday to Saturday between 08:00 and 13:00. Admission is free. Presentation of ID card / passport is required. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE JUNE 24, 25 Kelma Kelma Nota Nota: Kuncert tal-Qaddisin A series of three concerts that combine traditional and contemporary music and Maltese literature at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta at 21:00. Tickets: €15 for general admission; €10 for children, students, seniors and €30 block ticket (for all 3 events). JUNE 26 Class of Y2K Nostalgic early noughties party at Razzett l-Ahmar, Mosta from 20:00. Featuring DJs Clint (KNTRL / Dolls for Idols) and Dave (I.YOU / China). 'As long as it was constantly played at Koyote, Axis, Havana, Coconut, Remedy, the radio or your CD / MP3 player in the late '90s or early '00s, it's going in.' Entrance is at €4. JUNE 26-29 Strait Beer Festival Beer festival in Strait Street, Valletta from 19:00. Featuring varieties of local and foreign beers, as well as live music. JUNE 27 Krishna and Bila live at Django Rock bands Krishna and BILA will be performing at Django Jazz Bar, Republic Street, Valletta. Doors open at 21:30. Entrance is at €4. FILM SCREENING TONIGHT A Night with Chris Zarb and his shorts Maltese filmmaker Chris Zarb will be showcasing a series of short films from his back catalogue at Splendid, Strait Street, Valletta from 20:00.
