It will shed light on a dichotomous community – a hybrid way-of-life which seeks to negotiate between a historic vocation to explore space, and a contemporary human need to be connected. UNTIL AUGUST 31 Exploring The Phoenician Shipwreck off Xlendi Exploring the Phoenician Shipwreck off Xlendi, Gozo is the latest Heritage Malta exhibition. The exhibition focuses on the discovery of a Phoenician shipwreck which dates back to 700 BC. Discov- ered off Xlendi in 2007, at a depth of 110m, this intriguing ancient vessel has attracted worldwide attention since it is the oldest wreck ever found so far in this region. The ex- hibition was officially inau- gurated by Justyne Caruana, Minister of Gozo, Anton Re- falo, Chairman of Heritage Malta, and Timmy Gambin, Head of Heritage Malta's Un- derwater Cultural Heritage Unit, at the Gozo Area Office at the Ċittadella. The public will be able to visit this exhi- bition until the 31st August 2019. AUGUST 10-11 My Good Friend Steve 'My Good Friend Steve' is about Jake and his best child- hood friend, Naomi. Jake is in love with Naomi but has nev- er found the courage to tell her and so keeps living in the friend zone watching Naomi go from one disastrous date to another. All that changes one fateful night when he meets Steve. 'My Good Friend Ste- ve' takes place on the 10 and 11 of August at the Univer- sity Quadrangle at 9pm. All of the stalls will include vegan, vegetar- ian, gluten free and no refined sugar options… This is a stand-up event, however there will be free seating available on the beach and terraces. Seating will be on first come, first serve basis. A Mojitos bar and a Fresh Juice bar will be available serving a good variety of mojitos and juices. Beverages are purchased sep- arately. Price includes food & entrance: Adults €26.00, Children 5 -14 years €12.00. Music UNTIL 4 SEPTEMBER Ginn Jazz Nights The Gin Jazz Nights are back at Palazzo de Piro. AUGUST 24 Joseph Calleja Concert The island's annual staple Joseph Calleja concert and national spectacle will take place on the 24th August at the Granaries in Floriana. Home-grown leading and grammy-nominated lyric tenor Joseph Calleja will once again join musical forces with World renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, famed for having one of the most beautiful voices on the planet. To date, the Italian household name has recorded 15 solo studio albums of both pop and classical music, three greatest hits albums, and nine complete operas, selling over. Tickets for the show are available from www. showshappening.com AUGUST 14-16 Glitch Festival Glitch Festival returns on the 14th, 15th & 16th of August 2019 where music enthusiasts from all over the world are called to gather at the gates of the mystical House-and-Techno fortress. The Festival will be held at Gianpula Village, framed against the iconic skyline of Malta's fortified city, Mdina followed by the perfect sun- soaked boat-party finale. AUGUST 11-17 Summer Daze Some of the world's biggest pop acts and DJs are locked in for the second ever edition of Summer Daze Malta. The newly expanded event will take place on 11-17th August at various venues across Malta. The main events will take place over 14th- 15th August at the Ta Qali National Park.
