Doing what he believes must be done in order to save his family and livelihood, John places an odd scarecrow among his crops and promptly reaps the benefits. The thing is, his luck probably won't last for long. Starring Norman Reedus and Heather Stephens. MONDAY The Iron Triangle (1988) [Film] AMC Channel (Channel 312) During the Vietnam War, Army Capt. Keene (Beau Bridges) is taken prisoner by Ho (Liem What- ley), a teen member of the Viet Cong, and moved to an enemy base. Once there, Ho learns that Col. Tuong (Haing S. Ngor) plans to abuse Keene. The young man – certain that Keene could have killed him but opted not to – disregards Tuong's orders and brings Keene to another base, where he might receive better treatment. Keene and Ho get to know each another on the trip, but it's a trying journey. TUESDAY 9-1-1 Lone Star [Drama Series] 8.50pm on FOX (Channel 302) Nearly 20 years ago, Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) was the lone survivor of his Manhattan firehouse on 9/11. In the wake of the attack, Owen had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station. After a similar tragedy happens to a fire- house in Austin, Owen, along with his troubled fire-fighter son, T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), takes his pro- gressive philosophies of life and fire-fighting down to Texas, where he helps them start anew. On the surface, Owen is all about big-city style and swagger, but underneath he struggles with a secret he hides from the world – one that could very well end his life. The series also stars Liv Tyler, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva and Julian Works. FRIDAY Alaskan Bush People [Documentary] 8pm on Discovery Channel (Channel 400) Deep in the Alaskan wilderness an incredible family was born and raised wild. Billy Brown, his wife Ami and their seven grown children are so far removed from civilisa- tion that they often go six to nine months of the year without seeing an outsider. They've developed their own accent and dialect, refer to themselves as a "wolf pack," and at night, all nine members of the family sleep together in a one- room cabin. Simply put, they are unlike any other family in Ameri- ca. This series, new beginnings abound for the Brown family follow- ing the birth of baby Eli; and with new life changes are inevitable. SATURDAY Doctor Who [Drama Series] 7.30pm on BBC Entertainment (Channel 300) The deadliest alien species gather around an unknown planet that emits a mysterious message. The Doctor, along with Clara, tries to decipher that mysterious message. The show was brought back to TV screens in 2005 by BBC and has run for more than 854 episodes. The series premiered on September 19, 2016, on NBC. The series focuses on Eleanor Shellstrop, who wakes up in the af terlife and is introduced by Michael to "the Good Place", a highly selective Heaven- like utopia he designed, as a reward for her righteous life. However, she realises that she was sent there by mistake and must hide her morally imper fect behaviour while tr ying to become a bet ter and more ethical person. Utopia Amazon Prime Utopia centres around a graphic novel called The Utopia Experiments. It is rumoured to have predicted some disastrous epidemics (like BSE) in the past. There is an unpublished sequel which contains even more pertinent information for the survival of humankind. Various groups and people want this manuscript, some to find out the hidden truths in it, others to cover up conspiracies and secret identities. The show was written by Dennis Kelly and starred Fiona O'Shaughnessy, Adeel Akhtar, Paul Higgins, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Alexandra Roach, Oliver Woollford, Alistair Petrie and Neil Maskell.
