Successful candidates must be in possession of the following: - Qualifications At least a first degree or a comparable professional qualification as recognized by the MQRIC, preferably in Planning, or any other related subject, or a post-graduate degree or a Master's degree in Planning. Experience At least 5 years' post graduate experience in Planning, or 7 years' experience in a management position, with a track record of achievements in planning, including setting of objectives and implementation of effective change projects. Skills Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills, communication, business analysis, service focus and strategic thinking skills. A demonstrated track record of goal and achievement orientation. Abilities Ability to formulate recommendations and solve problems. Ability to work under pressure as part of the Planning Authority Management team. The case officer said the plans would be in breach of zoning rules. A final decision will be taken by the Planning Authori- ty board on 25 February. Palazzo Gourgion sits adja- cent to the neo-Gothic build- ing fronting the main square of the Mdina Cathedral, and enjoys the highest level of pro- tection. Weighing on the proposal is a proposed roof terrace res- taurant, and another on the ground floor, which constitute a large proportion of the floor area of the entire project. Police said the man, a resident of the locality, was found ly- ing on the ground at around 6:30am on Hookham Frere Street, but released no details as to the nature of the injuries. Sources said foul play was be- ing excluded, as most probably the man fell on his own and hit his head. A medical team assisted the man and he was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital in an ambu- lance. He was then certified as suffering from serious injuries and in critical condition. Magistrate Astrid May Grima is leading an inquiry into the case. Police investigations are ongoing in order to establish the specifics of the case.
