maltatoday | SUNDAY • 8 OCTOBER 2023 9 COMMERCIAL CHANCE EAU FRAICHE: Eau De Parfum CHANCE EAU FRAÎCHE charmed the world with its joyous, lively, and sparkling scent. Now, CHANEL presents a new, daz- zling and elegant interpretation of it. A new chance is within reach. 2002: CHANEL unveils CHANCE, a glee- ful and optimistic floral fragrance creation. A name redolent of success and achieve- ment. "Chance is a way of being", said Ga- brielle Chanel. It is no coincidence; it must be created, honed, sought out. It is the prod- uct of effort and passion. Four interpreta- tions of this now-iconic scent emerged, in- cluding CHANCE EAU FRAÎCHE Eau de Toilette, a floral-sparkling fragrance with a modern, sophisticated, and decidedly light trail that features notes of jasmine and zesty citron paired with a teak wood accord. An invigorating composition with charming optimism. 2023: CHANEL reinterprets CHANCE EAU FRAÎCHE Eau de Toilette, creating a version that combines the density of an Eau de Parfum with the brightness of the Eau de Toilette. For this unique composition, CHANEL Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge amplified the intensity without overpower- ing its freshness—a challenge he met with great success. CHANCE EAU FRAÎCHE Eau de Parfum has the same spontaneous, lively nature as the Eau de Toilette, but leaves behind a more intense trail. Rather than merely adjust the concentration, the perfumer composed something completely new, a fragrance in its own right. The citron accord has become exhilarating without losing its original juiciness; the jasmine is richer and more intense; and the teak wood accord reveals a more ambery facet, giving it a certain elegance. Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder LES Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Pow- der is a must-have for a natural, radiant glow, all day long. CHANEL presents an updated formula and new shades, housed in a case that is now refillable. Jasmine-infused formula enhances the powder formula, which goes on effort- lessly and delivers optimal comfort and a subtle, sheer finish. A complex com- posed of two light-reflecting pigments and one photo-adaptive pigment en- sures a fresh, natural-looking complex- ion that glows in any light. Its half moon-brush and comfortable texture make it intuitive to apply and able to be used any way you choose: se- lect a shade that is lighter than your skin tone for a subtly luminous com- plexion, a deeper shade for a sun-kissed touch. BNF Bank collaborates with ACT Malta on native flora propagation WITH the aim of fostering a culture of environmental re- sponsibility, BNF Bank is sup- porting Maltese NGO ACT to increase awareness about the importance of indigenous f lora. This collaboration aligns with BNF's broader dedication to sustainability initiatives. The partnership featured a successful hands-on educa- tional workshop held with the Banks' corporate team. The op- portunity was then extended to all staff members who showed interest to volunteer. The posi- tive feedback from this initiative was resounding, highlighting the value of the work the NGO is doing in Malta and the Bank's commitment to jump onboard. The experience for staff mem- bers was an immersive one, as they learnt about the ecological significance of native plant spe- cies and the skills required to propagate shrubs and plants as a means to their preservation. "Getting our hands deep into soil as we sowed seeds and planted cuttings gave us a sense of being closer to nature," said Reuben Ellul, the Corporate Banking team head at BNF Bank. "We learnt how to transform the word sustainability into a tangi- ble measure, by propagating in- digenous plants that are unique and particular to Malta. What's more, it's a meaningful commit- ment we can all take up individ- ually and choose local flora for our homes," he continued. BNF Bank and ACT Malta al- so took to social media to pro- mote the need to focus on lo- cally grown native flora species. Through this joint effort, a short series of educational facts was also circulated to help empower the public and develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of their surroundings. This initiative will also be taken to St Clare College, St Julians as part of a project to create more knowledge among children on conservation of the species and environmental du- ty. The initiative is set to com- mence at the start of the scho- lastic year whereby students will be given the tools to grow their very own native plant and care for it throughout the scholastic year, with follow up visits by ACT. ACT works to serve as an ena- bler to empower people to learn and do what inspires them, in the context of sustainable pro- gress across all areas of society, through open, constructive dia- logue and collaboration.
