The value of these deeds totalled €243.9 million, representing a decrease of 4.9 per cent when compared to the corresponding value recorded in June 2023. In the month under review, 876 (or 90.7 per cent) of these final deeds of sale involved individual buyers (house- holds), with companies accounting for virtually all remaining deeds. The value of the deeds involving individual buyers (households) amounted to €201.7 mil- lion, equivalent to 82.7 per cent of the total value. Final deeds of sale by district and by locality In June 2024, the highest numbers of final deeds of sale were recorded in the Northern Harbour and the North- ern districts, with totals of 274 and 212 deeds, respectively. On the other hand, the lowest numbers were registered in the Western, and the Gozo and Comino districts, at 96 and 114 deeds, respec- tively. The highest numbers of final deeds of sale were recorded in the following lo- calities: San Pawl Il-Baħar (73), Il-Mos- ta (57) and Il-Mellieħa (38). The sum of agreements recorded in these localities corresponded to 17.4 per cent of the total final deeds of sale registered during June 2024. Properties transacted in the final deeds of sale During the month under review, the number of properties transacted in the final deeds of sale was equivalent to 1,054. Apartments (419) and Garages (243) accounted for the largest shares, at 39.8 per cent and 23.1 per cent, re- spectively. In the second quarter of 2024, 3,185 final deeds of sale were registered, an annual increase of 5.9 per cent. The val- ue of the deeds registered during this period went up by 8.9 per cent over the same quarter of the previous year and amounted to €854.5 million. The highest numbers of final deeds of sale were recorded in the localities of San Pawl Il-Baħar (244), Il-Mosta (148) and Birkirkara (135). Promise of sale agreements In June 2024, 1,080 promise of sale agreements relating to residential prop- erty were registered, equivalent to a decrease of 5.0 per cent over the same period in 2023. Individual potential buyers (house- holds) accounted for 987 (or 91.4 per cent) of these agreements, while the rest mainly involved companies. The largest number of promise of sale agreements related to residential prop- erties were registered in the Northern Harbour district with 336 agreements, followed by the Northern district with 217 agreements. On the other hand, the lowest figures of promise of sale agreements were not- ed in the Gozo and Comino, and the Western districts, at 104 and 107 agree- ments, respectively. The highest numbers of promise of sale agreements were recorded in the following localities: San Pawl Il-Baħar (104), Birkirkara (66) and Tas-Sliema (59). The sum of agreements recorded in these localities corresponded to 21.2 per cent of the total promise of sale agree- ments registered during June 2024. In the second quarter of 2024, the number of promise of sale agreements reached 3,493, representing a slight decrease when compared to the same quarter last year. The highest numbers of promise of sale agreements were recorded in the localities of San Pawl Il-Baħar (310), Birkirkara (206) and Il-Mosta (177).
