Hav- ing a thorough understanding of the basics was essential for me, and the SOC Foundational course promised to deliver just that. I was also motivated to be among the top five participants, which would allow me to attend the Advanced course, further expanding my knowledge and gaining practical experience. The course offered a good bal- ance of theoretical knowledge as well as hands-on exercises that are relevant to real-world scenarios. The instructors, who are industry profession- als, shared practical knowledge based on their real-world expe- rience. The course delved into various aspects of cyber secu- rity, including digital forensics, blue team, and red team skills, as well as reverse engineering. Additionally, the practical lab sessions allowed me to apply what I had learned in a con- trolled yet challenging environ- ment, ensuring that I not only understood the concepts but could also implement them ef- fectively. I had the opportunity to work with industry-standard tools, giving me hands-on expe- rience that is crucial in the field. The skills I gained through this course are essential for my career. I now feel secure in my understanding of the basics and have a broad perspective on the different fields of cy- ber security. This knowledge is crucial for anyone aspir- ing to become a SOC analyst, as it covers the wide range of skills needed for roles such as an incident responder, threat intelligence/hunter, or even a penetration tester. Moreover, my enhanced understanding of industry-standard tools signif- icantly boosts my CV, making me a more competitive candi- date in the job market. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering a career in cyber security or looking to deepen their expertise in SOC operations. Whether you are a beginner, eager to join the cyber security community or an ex- perienced professional seeking to upskill, this course provides the knowledge and experience needed to excel in the field. It's also an excellent challenge for those aiming to qualify for the SOC Advanced course.
